Chakram Hikers is a leading mountaineering club in Maharashtra. The year 2007 is a “Silver Jubilee Year” of the club.

As part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration, we have planned various programmes throughout the year, which include:

1.	Chakram Dhamaka- A Unique Pinnacle Climbing Programme for General public

2.	International Mountaineering Film Festival (July-2007),

3.	A Himalayan Expedition (September/ October-2007),

4.	A trek in Himalayas for general public (May/October-2007),

5.	Sahyankan-2007 covering the Coastal Forts in Maharashtra (December-2007)

6.	Seminars, Lectures, Slide Shows on various Subjects like Nature Conservation, History, First Aid, Ornithology, Astronomy etc. throughout the year.

Through these programmes we intent to reach thousands of trekkers, nature lovers and general public to create awareness among them about Nature conservation, Adventure Activities etc. During past 30 years we have always received wholehearted support from organization like yours for our various activities. This has boosted our morale to undertake various ambitious projects mentioned above.

13TH GIRIMITRA SAMMELAN – 2014:

1) Scholarship/Grant for Fluted Peak Expedition:- Chakram Hikers received scholarship of Rs.10000/- for our Fluted Peak expedition!

2) Scholarship/Grant for Rock Climbing:- Chakram Hikers was awarded the grant of Rs. 7000/- for our Rock climbing activities of last year! 2 Virgin route Climb. (Tilin at Hatkeshwar Fort and Manik Lingi Sauth Face at Manikgad)

3) Prize in Quiz competition:- Mr. Rajan Mahajan won 3rd prize in Quiz competition that happened in the second half of Sammelan!

Yearly members are requested to renew their Yearly membership - for the year April 2013 to March 2014 - between 1st April to 15th April 2013.
